The theme was born from the desire to respond to a need of the city, to complete the image and to refresh the local and national cultural identity. This need is strongly illustrated in the area of the old city center, where the cultural buildings and those with public function dedicated to education, art and science are concentrated. The institutions of the book gradually lose importance in front of other local tourist activities, but the book has a special importance. The book represents the connection with the past, is significant and conveys the cultural identity of a community.

After all the previous exercises that dealt with different constructive and conceptual aspects, this project aims to treat together all the essential characteristics of an architectural cultural program (magnitude, time-space connections, vertical connections, dynamics of people in space, suspense). The architectural form is a form full of meanings, in close connection with the purpose of construction. Five essential features for the cultural architecture program will be studied and exploited through the project to bring maximum expressiveness in the chosen field.

The idea of the architectural gesture starts from the interest for the library, but also for the development of artistic and scientific activities in a framework of relationship with other buildings with a complementary role. The library but also the spaces for creation and discovery, make sense when they do not look excessive and are gradually discovered.
